Phraner Cattle Co. was founded by James and Kristen Phraner with a simple belief: that great beef starts with great land and even greater care. Nestled in the Catskills of Walton, NY, our longhorn cattle roam open pastures and are raised the way nature intended. No shortcuts, no compromises.
We're a family operation built on the time-honored traditions of American ranching. Every animal is raised with respect, every product carries our name, and every customer gets the real thing. Farm-direct, honest, and built to last.

Before there was a farm, there was a dream. James and Kristen Phraner looked at the rolling hills of the Catskills and saw something more than land. They saw a life worth building. A place where their kids could grow up with dirt on their boots, pride in their work, and roots deep enough to hold.
Phraner Cattle Co. exists because of five kids who deserve a life that means something: Cazimir, Graysen, Braxton, Johnna, and Gemma. Every early morning, every hard season, every fence post driven and every calf born is for them. They are not just our motivation. They are our whole reason.
We are just getting started. But we are building this the right way, with our hands, our hearts, and our family beside us. We hope you'll be a part of it.
